Who are we?
Cabinet COMED - UrbamoCuba.CH
COMED is a Swiss firm founded in 2022 with headquarters in Sierre (CH), while UrbamoCuba.CH is an association supporting projects in the field of transport and the environment specifically focused on Cuba. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Écublens (CH), it followed on from an activity carried out since 2011 in close collaboration with the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and dedicated to research projects in the field of transport and the environment in Cuba in particular.
COMED’s vocation is to handle projects in a wide geographical area, while UrbamoCuba.CH focuses its activities solely on Cuba, and is registered as such with the Cuban Ministry of Cooperation and Foreign Investment (MINCEX). Both structures pursue their mission in emerging countries, helping to develop and monitor projects in collaboration with municipal, ministerial and even academic institutions.
COMED / UrbamoCuba.CH aim to successfully implement concerted transport and energy strategies, always with a view to reducing environmental impact.
The objectives of COMED / UrbamoCuba.CH are to :
- Enable and support the implementation of projects, mainly in urban areas
- To bring together and coordinate the contributions of Swiss and foreign players from the scientific, political and industrial spheres who are involved or wish to become involved in development cooperation that preserves natural resources and the environment.
- Contribute to the search for technical solutions compatible with the financial resources of developing countries and get involved in fund-raising to carry out the projects in which it is involved.
- Act with complete transparency by regularly informing the entities with which it collaborates
